2025: iPhone Air begins the shift
The first step in this Apple three-year plan is the iPhone Air which is expected in 2025. This model is rumored to be very thin, much thinner than the current models. It might even replace the Plus versions that Apple sells now.
One of the most important parts here is the new C1 modem chip that Apple is designing by itself. Till now, Apple was depending on outside suppliers for modem chips, but with this, the company wants to control its own technology better.

Unlike other foldable phones that flip like a clamshell, Apple’s model is expected to open like a book. That means a larger screen inside, which is good for multitasking or media.
