New legendary weapons to collect

Players can earn two new Legendary weapons during the Borderlands 4 Halloween event by defeating world bosses.

The first one is the Murmur Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle . It’s a weapon that automatically lands critical hits on enemies that have less than 35% health. Basically, it finishes off weak enemies without extra effort.

The second one is the Skully Legendary Order Grenade , which automatically targets the nearest enemy and fires projectiles at them. It’s a handy item when you’re surrounded and need to clear enemies fast. Both weapons are limited to the event, so players need to log in before November 6 to grab them.

Major patch improvements

Besides the event, the October 23 patch also brings important gameplay fixes and quality updates that make daily play smoother.

One of the biggest changes is the reduced respec cost for Specializations, now lowered from 5,000 Eridium to 1,500 Eridium. This helps players try new skill builds without wasting too many resources.

The Lost Loot Machine system has been improved to focus more on higher-quality items. Enemies now drop more in-game cash too, which is good news for anyone farming loot.

For PC users, Gearbox recommends updating to NVIDIA driver version 581.57 , as it fixes most of the GPU crash problems.

The patch also includes general stability improvements for multiplayer sessions, menu navigation, and overall performance.

Character balancing has been another focus in this update. Gearbox made small changes to abilities and overpowered skills for all four Vault Hunters, including Harlowe, Amon, Vex, and Rafa. Some popular gear, like the Jakobs crit knif e, has been slightly nerfed for better balance.

What’s coming next for Borderlands 4

The success of Borderlands 4 has pushed the series to new heights. After breaking sales records, Gearbox is already preparing the first major DLC , scheduled for release on November 20 .

However, players who were waiting to play on Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 will need to wait longer. The port has been delayed indefinitely , and Gearbox hasn’t shared any new date yet.

For now, fans can enjoy everything the Borderlands 4 Halloween event offers, from the eerie visuals to the exclusive Legendary loot that’s only available for a short time.
