Let’s be honest, this was long overdue. For years, we’ve seen War, Death, Fury, and Strife pop up in different games, but not together in one main title.
This teaser finally shows that you’ll be able to play with friends, each taking control of one of them. Each has its weapons , abilities , and a very different playstyle.
The good part is, it’s not just for show. It’s confirmed on both Steam and the PlayStation Store that online co-op and full multiplayer are there. So yeah, it’s official.

Another important thing about the Darksiders 4 teaser is that the story picks up right after the first game.
Not a side story or prequel or anything like that. This one continues the main timeline. That alone should get long-time fans interested again.
Gunfire Games has done this before, changing up the gameplay each time. One game felt like Zelda, one like a looter, and Darksiders Genesis had that top-down look.
But they all kept the series feel alive. I’m guessing Darksiders 4 will do the same. It’ll be familiar, but still feel fresh.
When is it coming?
This part’s still unclear. The teaser doesn’t give a release year. It was first teased last year, and now this trailer drops without a date again. So if I had to guess, I’d say don’t expect it before 2027 . Nothing official, but that’s the safe bet right now.
If you ask me, the Darksiders 4 announcement teaser is probably the biggest shift in the series so far. They’re not just sticking to solo campaigns anymore. Going full multiplayer with the Four Horsemen is a big step, and honestly, it’s a smart move.
We’ll have to wait a bit to see more, but from what’s been shown, this could be the game that brings Darksiders back in a big way.
