Alright, just giving you all a quick heads-up. Grounded 2 is finally releasing tomorrow, and yeah, the hype is real.
If you’re into survival stuff with crafting and all that, this is probably worth checking out. It’s going to be available through Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview , and I thought I’d just break down the Grounded 2 release time and a few other things you should know.

When is Grounded 2 releasing?
So the official release time is July 29, 2025 , and it’ll go live at 10 AM PT . If you’re in a different time zone, here’s how it works out:
Los Angeles – 10 AMChicago – 12 PMNew York – 1 PMLondon – 6 PMBerlin – 7 PMBeijing – 1 AM (July 30)Tokyo – 2 AM (July 30)Sydney – 3 AM (July 30)Auckland – 5 AM (July 30)
So yeah, no matter where you are, just match your time zone and you’re good.

Where can you play it?
You can get it on Steam if you’re playing on PC. Or if you’re on Xbox, it’s coming to Xbox Game Preview . Also, if you have Xbox Game Pass , you’ll be able to play it straight away without buying it separately.
What’s different this time?
Obsidian’s not doing the usual small patch every month kind of thing. Instead, they’re doing less frequent but bigger updates . Like every 4 to 5 months. They’re trying to give more solid content each time instead of small tweaks.
So yeah, don’t expect weekly updates or whatever. But what we get will probably be a lot more complete and fun to explore.
How long will it stay in early access?
There’s no confirmed full release date yet. The first Grounded stayed in early access for over 2 years. So it might take a while. But if you’re cool with testing new features and giving feedback, it could be fun to be part of that.
So yeah, if you’ve been waiting, Grounded 2 is going live tomorrow. Make sure you’re ready by 10 AM PT . It’s coming to Steam and Xbox, and it’s early access, so don’t expect a finished game right away.
But if you’re into survival and crafting stuff with that “shrunken backyard” idea, you’ll probably enjoy this one too.
