Epic Games is keeping the Halloween spirit alive in Fortnite this year with more spooky content. The annual Fortnite Halloween event is already full of new Fortnite Halloween skins , including Doja Cat, Ghostface, and Scooby-Doo.
But that’s not the end. Epic still has two huge names waiting for release, and this time players can actually get them for free.

The upcoming update brings Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family.
Both are iconic characters, and Fortnite players will get a chance to unlock them before they arrive in the Item Shop.
The haunted cups: free skins for competitive players
Epic Games has announced special tournaments called Haunted Cups, where players can earn these Fortnite Halloween skins without spending any V-Bucks. The top players in each region will be rewarded with the new skins for free.
The first event, the Jason Voorhees Cup , takes place on Thursday, October 16 . The second event for Wednesday Addams will happen on October 23 .
Both tournaments will run in Fortnite Reload mode and will be played as Duos , meaning you’ll need a teammate to compete.
Even if you don’t rank high, it’s still worth playing. Anyone who scores eight points or more in a Haunted Cup will receive a free cosmetic accessory . So there’s something for everyone, even if you’re not among the top players.
Regional placement and rewards
Epic has set clear ranking requirements for each region. A total of 4,800 players across the world will win free Fortnite Halloween skins through these events. Here’s the breakdown:
- Europe: Top 850
- North America Central: Top 500
- Middle East, Brazil, and North America West: Top 250 each
- Oceania and Asia: Top 150 each
All tournaments are played in Duos, so both teammates who qualify will receive the reward.
Item shop availability and price
If you miss the Haunted Cups or don’t want to compete, the good news is both skins will also appear in the Fortnite Item Shop later this month.
Epic hasn’t shared the exact prices yet, but based on previous releases, each skin will likely cost around 1,500 V-Bucks .
It’s better to keep checking the Item Shop every day, since Fortnite Halloween skins are usually available for a limited time and rotate out quickly once the event is over.
