The phone looks like it’s ready to bring a proper flagship experience in a super-thin body, something that’s not easy to pull off.

From what’s been seen so far, the design of the Huawei Mate 70 Air looks very premium. There are leaked photos on Xiaohongshu (the Chinese social media app) showing the real device, and also a few carrier listings that confirm its look.

The phone is said to have a 6.9-inch curved display with soft edges that blend nicely into the sides. It looks very sleek when you hold it, and the curved corners give it a comfortable grip despite being thin.
For the selfie camera, Huawei is using a simple punch-hole setup on the front. At the back, it keeps the brand’s familiar circular camera module , which holds three cameras.
Early reports say the main camera uses a 1/1.3-inch sensor , which is quite large, so the image quality should be really good even though the phone is super slim.
The biggest highlight here is the thickness. The Huawei Mate 70 Air is reportedly just 6mm thin , putting it among the slimmest flagship phones ever made. Still, it’s said to support both nano-SIM and eSIM , which is nice to see in such a small frame.

Performance and features
Now, coming to the performance part, Huawei is not compromising there either. The Huawei Mate 70 Air is rumored to be powered by the Kirin 9020 chipset, the company’s latest and most powerful one yet.
It will come with up to 16GB of RAM , which is more than enough for multitasking or gaming. You can expect it to handle pretty much anything smoothly.
It will run on HarmonyOS 5.1 , the newest version of Huawei’s own operating system. This version is supposed to be more refined and works better with Huawei’s ecosystem of devices.
The phone will also come in a few elegant colors like Obsidian Black , Feather White , and a unique Gold Silk Silver Brocade finish, which all look quite classy.
Overall, to be honest, the Huawei Mate 70 Air looks like a serious flagship phone that focuses on thinness without cutting down on power or features.
It’s not just a design experiment, but it seems like a complete high-end device. If all these leaks turn out to be true, this could be one of the most impressive phones Huawei has launched in years.
