Apple is giving iOS a new design style called Liquid Glass . It makes apps and icons look more clear and see-through, kind of like glass.
On the lock screen, the time will change based on the wallpaper and notifications move around so your main photo is not blocked.
Home screen icons are also redesigned and you can even choose light, dark, or tinted styles. Control centre also changes its look based on the background for a more connected feel.

Apple Intelligence
The other big part of iOS 26 is Apple Intelligence . This is Apple’s new AI system. It can translate messages in real time, even during FaceTime or phone calls.
If you are using AirPods, the translations can be read aloud. It also works with photos and emails. For example, a list inside an email can quickly turn into reminders or a date in a photo can go into calendar. There is also Genmoji , which creates custom emojis based on your friends or family.
Smarter Tools
Communication gets some new tricks. Call Screening lets unknown callers speak their name before the phone rings.
Hold Assist waits on customer support calls for you and alerts when someone joins. In group chats you can make polls for decisions.
Maps learns your regular routes and shows delays before you start driving. Apple Music now has AutoMix to blend songs smoothly and can also translate lyrics. Wallet and Games apps are updated too, making travel and gaming a bit more organised.
