Players report a free “box” appearing in the shop. When you claim it you get 200 extra item slots . That is basically four standard storage increases at once.
This bonus seems separate from the inventory increases tied to the new Level 80 cap. People first noticed the box around 8 AM local time in the initial regions. Niantic has not posted anything about this specific rollout so far.

Why does it matter now?
November is packed with events. There is a global Wild Area event coming that introduces Gigantamax Grimmsnarl.
The month also includes a GO Pass with chances at Virizion and special Mega Lucario raids because of the TCG collab.
With so many raids and Community Days, extra inventory means you can stock up on Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and useful Berries without juggling space.
What don’t we know yet?
No official confirmation yet, so we don’t know if it is a regional test, a staged rollout, or a wide release. If you do not see it now, check the shop later. It might appear in waves.
Overall, this is a handy small reward for trainers getting ready for heavy events. It shows Niantic is still tweaking the quality of life and giving ways to make the play easier. Even if it is a test, grab it when you can.
