Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 - 1

After 100s of rumors and speculations, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is finally official . I’ve been following Samsung’s foldables for a while now, and this one actually feels like a proper upgrade.

It’s not just about throwing more features; this time they made it thinner, lighter, and kind of easier to handle. Let’s break it down one by one.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Launched with Sleeker Design and Integrated AI

The biggest thing you’ll notice right away is the design. When it’s folded, it’s about 8.9 mm . When you open it up, it goes down to 4.2 mm .

That’s pretty slim for a foldable. And it weighs around 215 grams , which is also lighter than before. You can actually carry it without feeling like it’s a burden in your pocket.

Now, about the display. The cover screen is now 6.5 inches with a 21:9 aspect ratio . The inner screen, which is the foldable one, is now 8 inches , so that’s around 11% bigger than last time. Watching videos, browsing, and multitasking on this will feel much better now.

Under the hood, it’s powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy . It’s a custom chip made for Samsung.

Basically, it’s faster than last year’s processor. Apps open faster, games run smoother, and AI works quicker too.

Speaking of cameras, they’ve added a 200MP wide-angle camera this time. That’s a huge jump from the 50MP on the last Fold.

I haven’t tested it personally, but from what I’ve seen, photos look a lot sharper and clearer. It handles low light better too.

Now here’s the part some people won’t like, even me. There’s no S-Pen support anymore. Samsung removed it.

Some users, like me, really liked using the S-Pen for notes and drawing. But I guess they had to skip it to make the phone thinner and lighter. It’s a trade-off. Not everyone will be happy with it, but that’s what it is.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Series Launched Too

Alongside the Fold, they also launched the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Flip 7 FE . The Flip 7 now has a 4.1 inch FlexWindow which is more useful.

You can check notifications, reply to messages, and even use some AI tools without flipping it open. The battery is bigger now , around 4300mAh , so that’s good too.

The Flip 7 FE is a cheaper version. It still has a 6.7-inch display and a 50MP camera , but it skips some of the advanced stuff.

Samsung’s AI Integration

Another big thing in these devices is the Gemini AI integration . It’s built deep into the phones. Like, you can use Gemini Live to ask your phone things like flight info or local places right from the cover screen.

You also get features like Photo Assist for editing pictures and Audio Eraser to clean up noise in videos. It’s all running on One UI 8 , based on Android 16 .

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 Series Pricing in India

In India , the prices are, of course, premium.

  • Flip 7 FE starts at ₹89,999
  • Flip 7 is ₹1,09,999
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is ₹1,74,999
  • They also launched the new Watch 8 series , with the base version at ₹32,999

So, overall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 looks like a smart move from Samsung. It’s not a huge redesign, but it improves where it matters.

The missing S-Pen might be a letdown, but the lighter body and smarter AI features make up for it for most people.

If you’re into foldables and want a phone that feels more polished, this is probably the one to look at right now. What are your thoughts on these devices?
