Samsung has finally launched the Samsung micro RGB TV, and it’s something worth talking about. This is a 115-inch TV that first came out in South Korea.

It’s aimed at people who want the very best display quality at home. Samsung says this is the next big step in their premium TV range.

What makes it different

The Samsung Micro RGB TV uses tiny LEDs that are smaller than 100 micrometers. These are placed behind an LCD panel to control the backlight very precisely.

This kind of setup gives better contrast, deeper blacks, and more accurate colors. It also reduces the halo effect that you sometimes see around bright objects on screen.

Samsung already has Mini-LED TVs under its Neo QLED series, but this new tech is a clear upgrade. The level of control over the backlight is just on another level.

The AI features

Inside, there’s a Micro RGB AI chip. Samsung says it’s faster in every way compared to before, with better CPU, GPU, and NPU performance. This allows some extra smart features like:

  • AI Upscaling Pro : makes lower quality videos look close to 4K
  • Micro RGB Color Booster Pro : adjusts colors in real time so they look more natural and vibrant
  • AI Motion Enhancer Pro : helps in making fast action scenes look smooth without blur

For gaming, it supports a 144Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. That basically means smooth gaming without screen tearing.

Sound setup

It’s not just about the picture. The Samsung Micro RGB TV has a 70W speaker setup in a 4.2.2 channel layout with Dolby Atmos. That’s more than enough for a proper home theater feel without adding extra speakers.

How is it not the same as MicroLED

Some people might confuse it with Samsung’s MicroLED TVs, but it’s not the same. MicroLED displays make their own light and color pixel by pixel.

The Micro RGB TV uses the micro LEDs only for backlighting the LCD panel. This makes it less expensive and easier to set up.

At launch, it costs about $32,325 in South Korea. Yes, still premium, but much cheaper compared to a MicroLED TV of this size, which can go above $150,000. You also don’t need a special installation for this one.

Samsung’s plan

Samsung’s VP Taeyong Son says this TV brings unmatched precision in color and contrast. They plan to release it in the US and other countries soon, and they might bring more size options later.

The Samsung micro RGB TV is Samsung’s way of giving top-level display quality without touching the crazy price of a MicroLED.

With its micro LED backlight, AI features, high refresh rate, and strong audio, it’s made for people who want a premium cinematic setup at home.
