How Does It Work, and What Are Its Core Features? As per the press release by Samsung Electronics, there are going to be three core features in the update, and it will be rolled out in three phases.

Phase/Feature 1 – The first feature, Memories , will be available to Samsung Smart TVs in early 2026. This is the initial exclusive launch of the app and will allow users to curate moments and stories based on people and locations.

Phase/Feature 2 – The second feature, Create with AI , is the full implementation of Google DeepMind’s Nano Banana image generations into the application.

When Will It Be Available? We don’t have exact dates for the release schedule, but we have a rough idea when these features are going to be available.

According to the press release, the first feature is going to be available as early as Q1 of 2026, and mostly by March 2026 , followed by the other two features in the second half of 2026.

Samsung will have a competitive advantage as well, as the feature and app will exclusively be available on Samsung smart TVs for the first six months. And many AI templates will also be exclusively available on Samsung TVs.

All the new 2026 models will have the features built into the system, and looking at the number of existing Samsung smart TV models, it will be rolled out to the users in batches by OTA update.

How to Get Started (When Available)? Once the features are available to your smart TVs, the setup part will be simple enough.

Since it is a Google app, you will only need a Google account to get started, and all your photos and videos will be synced to your TV.

What about the privacy angle to it? TVs are considered as a shared space, and all our photos and videos available on the TV are surely a privacy concern.

So, it is at the end user’s discretion to sign in to their personal Google account on the TV. There is a good probability that the app will allow multi-account sign-ins with some kind of encryption like a password or PIN.

There are a few more requirements you need to enable in your Google account to fully utilize all the features. The first requirement is that users must not turn off the Memories option in Google Photos settings.

And the second major requirement is that all your backed-up photos and videos will be available on the Google Photos app on the TV. And once you delete photos or videos from the cloud, they will be deleted from the TV as well.
