Shiny Chi-Yu is the last member of the Ruinous quartet to show up in these special raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet .
This event is different from a normal Tera Raid. You do not catch it right after the win. Instead, the whole player base needs to defeat it one million times .
After we hit that number, a free Mystery Gift with Shiny Chi-Yu goes out to all players. It is simple, and honestly a neat community twist.
How the Shiny Chi-Yu raid works?
The raid is set to Level 75 . Chi-Yu uses Ruination , Heat Wave , and Flamethrower . It likes to put up a shield early.
It can also reset Tera Orb charges, which messes with your timing. So the fight can get a bit annoying, I wont lie. But it is beatable when you plan for it.

Best counters and tactics
Chi-Yu leans hard on special attacks and has a big weakness to Water-type pressure. Bring strong Water options and you are fine.
- Azumarill , Kyogre , and Walking Wake are easy recommends
- Use builds that resist Fire and hit back on the special side or can boost safely
- Keep an eye on the shield timing and re-apply your setup after the reset
I know some folks love fancy sets. You dont need that. Solid Water nukes, clear roles, and basic support will carry.
Mass Outbreaks for shiny hunting
Alongside the raid, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are running a Mass Outbreak event for Fire-type favorites with increased shiny odds .
- Charcadet appears across Paldea
