Convent area

After the intro, you start in the Convent . There are important items and puzzles to get through first.

  • Flower Key : After waking up, find the Christ Book and a Thumb Tack. Combine them in your inventory and use them on the book’s left arm. You will get the Flower Key. Use it on the first locked door.
  • Lighter and Hammer : Go to the Staff Room for Pliers. Then, in the Bell Tower, find a corpse. Use the Pliers on the cage on its stomach and get the Lighter. Use the Lighter to see in dark areas. Go to the North Corridor and turn on the elevator switch near the Lady Chapel. Take the elevator to the basement. After a short fight in the Crematorium, pick up the Hammer.

Shotgun puzzle

Before going to the Courtyard, backtrack to the Bell Tower. Use the Hammer on the vases blocking the ladder and climb up.

The Shotgun is in a glass case. To break it, hit the bells around the case in this order: second smallest, largest, smallest, second largest. Grab the Shotgun once the glass is broken.

Cryptex and Crown Key

In the Courtyard, pull the gallows lever to drop a corpse. Use the Pliers on it to get the Saw Blade. In the Refectory, get the Saw Handle and combine it.

In the Kitchen, cut off the hand of a corpse in the freezer and melt it with the Lighter to get the Cryptex. Solve the Cryptex with chess piece moves: Knight, Castle, Bishop, Queen, King, Pawn, Knight. That gives you the Crown Key.

Prison, Museum, and Boss Prep

  • Prison Power Box : Use Pliers on barbed wire. Set switches according to the clue in the broken cell: Right, Left, Left, Left, Right. Pull the lever to restore power.
  • Museum Key : Put the Christ Book on the pedestal and take the Cursed Book. Give it to the man in the Crematorium to get the Museum Key.
  • Jade Cross : Unlock the Museum door. Find Jade Cross behind the stairs. Get the Telephone Dial from the basement and use it in the Library. Dial 3890 and get the Jade Disc. Combine Disc with Cross and press buttons to form a square pattern: Right, Down, Left, Right, Right.
  • Blood Atomiser and Stone Heart : Use Jade Cross on the Chapter House door to get Plant Atomiser. Break the lock in the Torture Museum with a Hammer. Light the mirror candles in the correct order. Burn the scroll on the statue with a Lighter to find Stone Heart. Place Stone Heart in the angel statue chest and use Plant Atomiser on the blood. Pressurize and spray on the Lady Chapel arms to remove them.

Iron Maiden Boss Fight

This is the first big boss. Use Shotgun to shoot her. Keep a distance and run when she swings. When she drops to her knees, take a dagger from the hanging corpses and insert it in her face. Repeat for the second phase. After the second dagger, she is defeated, and you can move on in the story.

Overall, the first area of Tormented Souls 2 is tricky but manageable if you follow this guide. Solve puzzles carefully, collect important items like the Shotgun and Jade Cross, and be ready for the Iron Maiden. This will save a lot of frustration and help you enjoy the game.
